Rosa Mae Lynd Williams passed away Saturday, July 29th 2017 at the age of 93. Rosa was born June 2, 1924, in Escatawpa, Mississippi to Burnham and Annis Lynd. She was raised in Bay Harbor of Panama City graduating from Bay County High School and was a devout member of St Andrews Baptist Church. Rosa was married 67 years to Harold Ralph Williams. She retired from Bay County School System as a PE Assistant at Oakland Terrace Elementary School to co-own The Linen Closet in downtown Panama City with dear neighbor Sue Swanson. Rosa then finished her working career in catering with close friend Mary Junkins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Ralph Williams. Rosa is survived by her children, Cynthia Lynd Davis, Chris Williams (Wanda), Hal Williams (Debby), Kim Patrick (Barry); six grandchildren, Robyn McCart, Chris Weaver (Elaina), Steve Williams, Megan Berendt (Matt) Kaitlin Patrick and Misty Jowers (Scott); ten great grandchildren; sister, Odessa Dixon, brother, Edward Lynd and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to send a special thank you to Terry McNeal, Ginger Hays, Patsy George, Roxanne Dukes and their families for their extraordinary love and support. The family also recognizes Dr. Goodrich, Morningside Assisted Living, and Bay Covenant Hospice for providing exceptional care. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, August 4, 2017 in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 1:00-2:00 prior to the service.
