Roque "Roy" Loanzon died peacefully at home at the age of 76 the morning of May 2, 2019. He was surrounded by his loved ones when he left this Earth to join our Heavenly Father. He was born on August 15, 1942 in Gua-gua, Pampanga, Philippines to Leonardo and Fidencia Loanzon. He is survived by his wife, Teresa Loanzon and two children and their spouses. Leslie and husband, Sal Magro of Tampa, Florida and Michael and wife, Rita Loanzon of Fruita, Colorado. Roy has two grandchildren, Greyson Magro and Rosalind Loanzon and one more on the way. He is preceded in death by his sister, Zenida Calilung and his parents of the Philippines. He also is survived by his two sisters and their spouses, Bessie and Boylett Magcalas of Los Angeles, CA and Debbie and Ed Uy of the Philippines. He also is survived by his brother and his spouse, Tomas and Annabelle Loanzon. Roy has several nieces and nephews and many cousins in the Philippines. Roy retired from the United States Navy of twenty-three years as a Chief Petty Officer. After serving in the military, he became a member of the Publix family where he worked for 17 years in the meat department. Our family would like to offer our deepest thanks to all medical and non-medical personnel who were involved in Roy's life and wellness which include Covenant Hospice, Kindred Health Care, Emerald Shores, Panama City Fire Station No. 2, Dr. Bobbie Baker, Dr. Andrew Webber, Dr. Mariusz Klin and Dr. Hashem Mubarak. Roy was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. The viewing will take place at Wilson Funeral Home located 214 Airport Rd, Panama City, FL 32405 on Tuesday, May 7th, 2019 from 5:00-7:00 PM. The funeral services will be located at St. John the Evangelist Church on Wednesday, May 8th, 2019 at 11:00 am. Funeral services will be officiated by Reverent Kevin McQuone and Father Anthony Nguyen.
