RONALD EUGENE BYRNS

Ronald Eugene Byrns, 64, departed from this life to be with our Lord after a lengthy illness on Monday, May 14, 2007.

Ron was born in Mexico, Missouri on December 30, 1942. He is predeceased by his parents Lyle Robert Byrns and Twila Shores Byrns, and two sons, Terry Byrns and Gary Byrns.

Ron served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force before retiring at Tyndall Air Force Base in Panama City. He then worked for Waste Management as a Supervisor and Nate's Sanitation for over 20 years before officially retiring again. Ron was an avid Nascar fan and loved to watch the races any chance he got. Ron was well known by many and will be remembered for his kind and generous spirit.

Ron leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 43 years Jeanne A. Byrns, 3 children, Larry Byrns, Victoria Byrns Barwick and husband William, and Kelly Byrns Davis and husband Mike all of Panama City, a sister, Beverly Quartaro and husband Rich of St. Louis, Missouri and a brother Robert Byrns and wife Maria of Ocean City, Maryland, 5 grandchildren, Ronnie, Ashley, & Savanna Barwick and J. Michael and Chandler Davis.

The family would like to thank Dr. Bruce Josten and his staff, Dr. Sweetser, Dr. Jeffrey Trupp, the nurses at Covenant Hospice, Cassie and Paula for the loving support shown to Ron during his illness.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 16 at 6 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5-6 p.m. prior to the service. A memorial service and burial will be held in the family cemetery, Shady Grove Florida at a later date. The family will be at the home of Kelly Byrns Davis, 5325 Peppertree Court in Callaway. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Taunton Family Children's Home, P.O. Box 870, Wewahitchka, FL 32465. Mr. Byrns's video tribute may be viewed online at www.wilsonfuneralhome.net.
