Roger Allen Hughes was born on July 9, 1953. He passed away peacefully November 3, 2018. He leaves behind his loving wife Susan Roper-Hughes, his two children Stacy Fendley (Donell) and Clint Hughes. He also leaves behind five grandchildren that he adored with all his heart Dale and Lindsey Fendley and Katelyn, Lily and Brody Hughes. He is also survived by his loving mother Jean Hughes. He is preceded in death by his father John T. Hughes, Jr. We must also mention his two springer spaniels, Ruby and Rosie. Roger was well known to the community and most remember him as the "Snow Cone Man" from his many years serving local school events. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was also a true Gator fan. He will be truly missed by family and friends and will be remembered for his love of his family and the outdoors. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10-11 Tuesday prior to the service. Private Family Entombment will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
