Robin Lewis Hobbs, 65, of Panama City Beach, Florida passed away at his home on February 26, 2026. Robin was preceded in death by his parents George F. Hobbs and Jean Fendley Hobbs and his oldest brother, Terry Dykes.
Survivors include sons Lance Hobbs (Amber) of Daleville, Alabama and Jared Hobbs (Nicole) of Albany, Oregon, granddaughter Tarja and grandsons Titus, Raiden, and Beau. Additionally, he is survived by sisters Donna Pepper, Grayson, Georgia, Janet Beasley (Larry) of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida and brother Frank Hobbs of Robertsdale, Alabama. Surviving nephews are Lee Jones IV of North Augusta, South Carolina, Dustin Woods of Alabaster, Alabama, and Kendall Hobbs of Gulf Shores. He also leaves behind nieces Desiree Shrestha of Jemison, Alabama and Lindsey Spalding of Destin. He was great uncle to Cranston and Carson Jones, Jaden Shrestha, Jameson and Mary Margaret Hobbs, and Jackson Spalding. Robin is survived by many beloved cousins and friends, including Joann Golden and Gayle Johns, who helped care for him and loved him deeply.
Being born into a sports loving family, Robin quickly took an interest in sports, especially racing, football and basketball. He played a little basketball, too. Robin loved his Auburn Tigers and pulled for them in both football and basketball. He cheered for them through good seasons and bad!
Robin worked most of his career in the auto parts business and retired in 2025 from Waste Pro (Fleet Management) in Panama City, where he worked for several years.
Robin believed in the Lord and attended several Methodist churches over the years. A Celebration of Life service is planned for March 14 at Belcher Bethel Baptist Church in Eufaula, Alabama (Baker Hill community) with Rev. Joe Vickers officiating. Visitation will begin at noon (Central time) at the church with service at 1:00 p.m. followed by a luncheon reception in the fellowship hall. Burial will follow in the Fendley Family section of the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to:
