Robert Van "Rip" Worthington, 86, of Lynn Haven, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2015. He was born April 18, 1929 in Cedartown, Georgia to John & Carrie Worthington. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a retired automobile salesman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorene Worthington and a brother, Preston Worthington. He was a member of the Chosen Few and a former member of the Elks Club. He is survived by a daughter, Susan Vanessa Ojala; 3 grandchildren, Amanda Linthicum, David Linthicum, Nicholas Ojala; 2 great grandchildren, Nathan Robson, Daryl Robson; 3 sisters, Marie Hightower (Glenn), Charlotte Lewis (Ed), Carolyn McCollum (Don) and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 10-11 a.m.
