Dr. Robert Dean Woods
On Friday, July 19, 2019, Dr. Robert Dean Woods, loving husband and father of three children, passed away at the age of 83. Bob was born on September 24, 1935 in Kennett, MO to Wayne and Mildred Woods. He received his Dr Dental Surgery from Emory University in Atlanta, GA in 1962 and he practiced Dentistry for 37 years in Panama City. On May 29, 1959 he married Vesta (Tootsie) Woods. They raised two sons, Brian and Brad and one daughter, Jennifer. Bob had a passion for golf, FSU football and St. Louis Cardinals baseball. He was a member of Panama Country Club since 1963. He loved playing with the hacking dogs. At the age of 81 he recorded his best round of golf of 69. Bob was a generous and kind man that always put his family first. Bob was preceded in death by his father, Wayne; his mother, Mildred; his brother, Charles; sister-in-law, Joy. He is survived by his wife, Tootsie; three children, Brian and partner Bonnie, Jennifer and husband David, Brad and children, Dean and Jenny; as well as many nieces and nephews. A funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Wilson Funeral Home, 214 Airport Road, Panama City, FL 32405 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow the service at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10-11 am prior to the service.
