Robert Wade Harris, 89, of Panama City, FL passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2018. He was born on June 20, 1929 in Troy, AL to James Henry and Mollie Harris. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a former member of Calvary Baptist church where he served as an ordained deacon and a Sunday school teacher. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He was the owner and operator of Aldridge Electric. He is preceded in death by his parents; six brothers and sisters; his first wife, Alligene Harris; grandson, Roy Reed. He is survived by his wife, Sara Harris; six children, Roberta Woodward (Scott) of Fort Pierce, FL, Al Harris (Martha) of Panama City, FL, Bobby Harris (Cindy), of Griffin, GA, Gregory Carithers (Diann) of Fairhope, AL, Randy Carithers (Virginia) of Mobile, AL, Renee Mercer (Mark) of Panama City, FL; twelve grandchildren, Alan Harris (Stephanie) of Roscoe, IL, Melissa Pruitt (Ross) of Winthrop, ME, Nicholas Harris of Griffin, GA, Natasha Wade (Garrett) of Mobile, AL, Crystal Nguyen (Tien) of San Francisco, CA, Suzanne Miller (Luke) of Panama City, FL, Jennifer Thomas (Jamison) of Fairhope, AL, Josh Mercer of Panama City, FL, Olivia Howland (A.J.) of Panama City, FL, Morgan Carithers of Orlando, FL, Collin Carithers of Mobile, AL, Michael Carithers of Mobile, AL; and twelve great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday December 22, 2018 at 2 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow the service at Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1-2 pm prior to the service.
