Robert Douglas Mowat, 67, of Lynn Haven, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2016.  He was born July 23, 1949 in Picayune, Mississippi to Donald Dunnet Mowat and Norma Irene Mowat. He attended Lynn Haven Elementary School, Mowat Jr High, and graduated from McLean High School, McLean, Virginia. He retired as a manager with the United States Postal Service having worked in both McLean and Panama City.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Elizabeth Mowat.  He is survived by 3 grandchildren; Jason Taylor Mowat, Andrew David Mowat, Brandon Nicholas Mowat; 2 brothers, Ronald William Mowat, Donald Bruce Mowat (Susan), 2 sisters, Sheila Lynn Hughes (Norman), Barbara Ann Downs (Ron); nieces and nephews, John Mowat (Lei-Ann); James Mowat (Kristi); Jesson Mowat; Sherri Jackson (James); Laurie Hughes (Joseph); Thomas Hughes, Kelly Downs (Derek), Dustin Downs (Wei) and numerous cousins.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Dan Mitchell officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service.  Interment will follow in the Lynn Haven Cemetery. The family requests that those desiring may make memorial donations to the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
