Mr. Lane was born March 9, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Robert and Catherine Lane. He served in the United States Air Force at Elmendorf Air Base in Anchorage, Alaska, and Tyndall Air Base in Panama City. While at Tyndall, he met and married the late Rosalee Cox Lane, his wife of 43 years. He was of the Catholic faith. Mr. Lane was the owner of Carpet Installers Supply in Panama City. He loved spending time with his boys, especially out on the water and would often remark that he liked to just sit at the dock watching the "mullet jump". He also had a great knowledge and appreciation of music, poetry and antique cars; of which he was always glad to share around the campfire. He was a good husband, great father and an outstanding friend.
He is survived by his four sons and daughters-in-law, Rob Lane and Brenda, Jeff Lane¬, David Lane and Meegan, and Nick Lane and Christy; six grandchildren, Emily Rose Lane Hill, Robert William Lane, Benton Eli Lane, Clara Marie Lane, Madelyn Reece Lane, and August Riley Lane; and a host of nieces and nephews.
