IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert Lewis
Fulton
March 2, 1931 – February 16, 2021
His final Tour of Duty completed here on earth, SSgt Robert "Bob" Fulton was called home to our Lord on February 16 th 2021. He leaves a legacy of cherished memories for his four children: daughters Cindy Hix (Rik), Dian Lensch (Brian), and sons Don (Brandy), Bobby "Dean", Robert "Bobby" Jr. (Sharon), six grandchildren: Jacqueline "Jacqui" Long Flachman, Jacob Lensch, Brandon Fulton, Teresa Fulton, Jasmine Moorer, Morgan Fulton, Sherrie Gibson, Sean Fulton, Brent Fulton, Guy Drake and Mary Fulton. Bob was born in Preston Mississippi to Callie Kirkland Hixson and Tommy Fulton, the oldest son of five siblings: older sister Carmalene, and younger brothers Sherman, Harold, and Jessie.
At the tender age of 17, Bob joined the Army in the shadow of World War 2 as a means of providing for his brothers and sisters back home. He soon found love in a fiery Army Dental assistant by the name of Patricia Geisinger and together they started a family. She stood by him as he endured the Korean and Vietnam wars, cementing the framework of a Family that would hold on to each other with a Family First mantra. Bob received an Honorable Discharge after twenty years of dedicated service in the Army Medical Corps as a Medic and Radiology technician.
His life was dedicated to his family, with a great love of laughter and fun. Known to cut a rug given the chance, he cherished moments teaching his granddaughter Jacqui their special secret language only the two could share. He relished spending weeks with grandson Jacob his beloved game of golf, and poking fun with equal measure at all his grandchildren; they were his joy. He taught us to respect those who went before us, generosity of spirit, perseverance, and how not to sneak in past our curfew. A firm believer in our Heavenly Father, he was assured of his final place beyond this unsure world. He was the last of that generation.
