Robert Edwin Franklin Jr., 73, of Panama City, FL passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2020. He was born on January 18, 1947 in Columbus, GA. He was a retired Commercial Estimator. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert E. Franklin Sr. and Melba  Fitzgerald Franklin; two sisters, Penny Rockmore and Christine McFarland. He was a loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather. He loved being on the water and especially being at Shell Island. He also loved to spend time in Cedar Key where he spent his summers as a child. He is survived by his wife, Mary Franklin; three children, Robert E. Franklin III (Julie), Chris Franklin (Bunny), Justin Franklin (Lisa); eight grandchildren, Brandon, Katie, Robbie, Ashley, Owen, Lauren, Andrew, Emma Rose; one great grandchild, Bentley Cody Franklin; two sisters, Melba Jean Dudek, Cindy Phillips; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at 3 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Phil Edwards officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, in memory of Robert Edwin Franklin Jr.
