Robert Lester Evans, 73, of Lynn Haven passed away on Wednesday November 23, 2016 in a local hospital. He was born on May 29, 1943 in Bellaire, Ohio to Colonel Lester and Dorothy Evans. He was the former director of Community Development for the City of Panama City, and helped many families realize their dreams of becoming homeowners. He was also a private commercial pilot for an airline, and a corporate pilot for Eastern Shipbuilding. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Nancy. He is survived by his wife, Linda Evans; his son, Brian Evans; and his granddaughter, Kirsty Evans. He was a good man whose presence will be missed and memory will be cherished. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, November 30th at 11 am in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10-11 am prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Catholic Charities.
