Rita Sorrentino Cole

On August 23, 2021 Rita Sorrentino Cole of Panama City closed her bright blue eyes for the last time and entered Heaven's gates healthy, healed, and whole again.

Rita was a native, born and raised in Panama City, Florida.  She was a retired Bay District Schools music teacher of over 30 years and spent much time sharing her love of music to thousands of Bay county students.   Rita attended First United Methodist Church of Panama City for as long as her health would allow.  Although she will be missed, we rejoice in knowing that because of her faith, Rita was healed and her mind restored upon taking her last breath.  Congrats on Eternity!

Rita is survived by her 2 children, Jessica "Jessi" Pennington (Nathan), Jacob Titus (Kristi); 4 grandchildren, Lilly Pennington, Layla Pennington, Lenora Pennington, Turner Titus; sister, Cindy Sorrentino Hancock; and many Cousins she loved dearly.

A celebration of Rita's life will be held on Monday, August 30, 2021, 10:00am at First United Methodist Church of Panama City with visitation @ 9:00am.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Rita to the FUMC of Panama City.
