Ricky Bill Hataway, 75, of Panama City Beach, FL passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024. He was born on October 2, 1948 in Opp, AL. He retired as a Rural Carrier for the United States Postal Service after 30 years. He also served in the United States Air Force Reserve, retiring with the rank of Master Sergeant after 20 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Merion Hataway; brother, Randy Hataway and sister, Sherry Loftin. He is survived by his wife, Emily F. Hataway; son, Eric Hataway (Kaye Lynn); grandchildren, Macy Hataway, Baker Hataway, Tate Hataway; siblings, Terry Hataway, Janet Coker, Kevin Hataway; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at 11 am in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 10-11 am. Interment will be held in the Barrancas National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, take a child fishing in memory of Ricky Hataway.
