RICHARD C. KIRCHOFF, SR.

Richard C. Kirchoff, Sr., 88, of Panama City, passed away Thursday, February 24, 2011. He was born September 20, 1922 in Detroit, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp where he was stationed in Guam and Guadalcanal during WWII. He had been a resident of Panama City since 1975, moving from Whitmore Lake, Michigan. He was a charter member of the American Legion Post #392. He served on the Board of Directors for the American Cancer Society, where he was a volunteer driver for patients. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Betty, Barbara and Jerry and one brother, Charles. He is survived by his wife, Frances Kirchoff; five sons, Richard C. Kirchoff, Jr. (Shelly), Michael N. Kirchoff (Tina), Steven Kirchoff (Jan), David R. Kirchoff, Danny A. Kirchoff (Kim); nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; brother, Russell Kirchoff and sister, Patricia Fleury. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Hayward Miller officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1 – 2 p.m. prior to the service.
