Rhett Mathews Young Jr age 53, passed away Monday July 10th 2017 at Covenant Hospice Care in Panama City, Florida. Matt was born July 12th, 1963 and a lifelong resident of Panama City Beach and graduated from Bay High School. Matt as preceded in death by his father, Rhett Mathews Young Senior; maternal grandparents, AG and Edna Lawson and paternal grandparents, William Rhett and Johnie Ella Young. Matt is survived by his mother, Bessie Mae Young; sisters, Brenda Gail Mincey (Edward) all of Panama City Beach and Martha Murphy (Philip);  Nieces, Jennifer Murphy and Julie Bryant (Matt); great nephew, Grayson Bryant all of (Lynn Haven); Nephews, Chris Thorne of Panama City, Fl. and TJ Amerson of Jasper, Fl. A memorial service will be held at Wilson Funeral Home , 214 Airport Road. Panama City, Fl. 32405 Visitation will be at 1:00PM with memorial to follow at 2:00PM. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to be made to Covenant Hospice Care.
