Rebecca Laurel Newburn Stewart

Died October 14, 2023 at the Lynn Haven Florida home she shared with her husband, after a two year fight with end stage liver disease (NASH). Becki was 72 years old. Her husband, retired USAF Captain Jay Stewart; children Jon Grevich and his wife Cindy Chia of Kuala Lumpur Malaysia; Megan Grevich, of Maui, Hawaii; and  James Stewart, Jr. of Jacksonville, Florida; sister Margaret Summer of Pauli, Arizona; her Lynn Haven Methodist Church family and  her many friends in the St. Andrews Bay Quilting Guild mourn her.

Becki was a shining light. She loved God, family and friends, attending concerts and travelling with her husband; rainbows, and riding Ferris wheels. She loved her Lord.

When Becki discussed current affairs, she'd soon say "I'm going back to Camelot now."  That ended the subject.

Becki was an avid collector of kaleidoscopes from many artists.

She sewed, notably beautiful dresses for young girls. Her passion was quilting – she won ribbons at quilting exhibitions in both Jacksonville and Lynn Haven. Most of her quilts were made for children taken by from their homes by DCF.

Graveside Funeral service will be held at Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola on Tuesday, October 24, 2023. Those attending must assemble at St John Catholic Church, 303 S. Navy Blvd., Pensacola by 1:45 P.M. to be escorted onto the base to the cemetery.
