Raoul Duane Marler, 55, of Panama City Beach, passed away Friday, January 28, 2011 in his home. He was born October 3, 1955 in Portsmouth, Ohio. He worked at Venture Out and was head of the Maintenance Department for 18 years. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Roberts and one sister, Brenda Hall. He is survived by his daughter, Sunshine DeLeon and her husband John, and their daughters, Alexis and Jaelyn all of Bradenton, FL; his loving partner of 21 years, Carolyn Brackett, and together they were raising their granddaughters, Faith and Hope. He is also survived by his step daughter, Angela Brackett; step son, Jerry Hoffman and his wife Brandy and their boys, Cam, Conner and Colby; sister, Shirley Griffin; brother, Scott Roberts of Portsmouth, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 3 pm on Wednesday, February 3, 2011 in the Chapel at Venture Out. His cremated remains will be buried at a later date in Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Venture Out to help with his final expenses.
