RALPH EMMITT YOHN
Ralph Emmitt Yohn, 89, of Panama City, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2011. He was born January 29, 1922 in Geneva, Alabama and had been a resident of Panama City since 1957. He was an automobile mechanic at Tommy Thomas Chevrolet, retiring in 1988 after 32 years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Panama City and the Grover Holland Sunday School Class. He was also a member of the Geneva Masonic Lodge #129. He was preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Charles Yohn; sister, Mary Quiller; 3 brothers, Woodrow Yohn, Leamon Yohn, John Alf Yohn; three sisters-in-law, Allie Mae Jackson, Rosa Lee Pollard, Lottie Chalker and one brother-in-law, Horace Posey. He is survived by his wife, Florine Yohn; two grandchildren, Stephanie Ann Jones, Derek Allan Yohn; great grandson, Brady C. Jones; brother, Hubert Hoover Yohn; two sisters-in-law, Nell Posey, Betty Yohn; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clyde Ellison officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 12 – 1 p.m. prior to the service. Those desiring may make memorial donations to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 1200, Panama City, FL 32402 in memory of Ralph Yohn. Active pallbearers are Fred Casey, Dewey Crowe, Steve Culverhouse, Robert Denmark, Bill Frost, Ken Hall, Grover Holland and Doyle Kirkland.
