PIRLEY MAE GIVENS
Pirley Mae Givens, 93, of Panama City, passed away Monday, July 27, 2009. She was born March 31, 1916 in Geneva County, Alabama and had been a resident of Panama City since 1935 moving here from Dothan, Alabama. She was a seamstress and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. C. Givens and daughter, Eloise Givens. She is survived by her son, Wayne Givens and wife, Virginia Janette; two daughters, Ruth Ellen Myrick and husband, Larry, Elizabeth Diane Blecha and husband, Don, all of Panama City; five grandchildren, Duane Givens and wife Kim, Jennifer Stevenson, and husband Billy, Paige Smith and husband Trampas, Connie Hurst and husband Charles, Renae Seymour and husband Eric; eight great grandchildren, Lindsay Givens, Allison Givens, Madison Stevenson, Wil Stevenson, Caitlyn Hurst, Caroline Hurst, MarisLea Smith, RheaLynn Smith; brother, J.W. Garner and sister, LaVada Smith. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carl Fondren and Rev. Virgil Tillman officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6 – 8 p.m. The family would like to thank the staff of Covenant Hospice and Community Health and Rehabilitation.
