Phyllis Greer, 83, of Lynn Haven departed this world to meet her Savior Jesus Christ and to embrace her family members in heaven on February 19, 2025.  She was born in Panama City, Florida on July 27, 1941 to the late Ernest W. Greer, Sr. and Thetis (Peterson) Greer.

Phyllis graduated from Bay County High School in 1959 and attended Gulf Coast Community College and Florda State University.  After living for a brief period in Texas, she returned to Panama City and taught elementary school for a short time.  She then moved to the Atlanta, Georgia area and worked for many years at Southern Bell Telephone, which later became AT&T.  She retired early to move back home to Lynn Haven and care for her parents until they passed away.  Although Phyllis chose to live a solitary life, she was always ready to reach out to family and friends in need. Her family fondly remembers her infectious laughter and the caring and kindness she gave to all.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Ernest Greer, Jr. and David Greer.  She is survived by her siblings, Mary Greene, Joseph Greer, Jennifer Greer, and Michael Greer; 14 nieces and nephews: Richard Greene, Pam (Greene) Spencer & husband Chris, Rebecca (Greer) Wallen & husband, Chris, Ernest W Greer III & Wife Jennifer, John Greer & wife Stephanie, Bill Hutchins & wife Takemi, Tabatha Hutchins Tamatha Hutchins, David Hutchins & wife Michelle, Alexandra Deaton, Joseph Greer Jr & wife Rebecca, Audrey Greer, Soni Greer & wife Beth, David Greer Jr. & wife Raquel;18 great nieces and nephews and 10 great, great nieces and nephews. And numerous cousins

A celebration of life service will be held on March 8 at 11:30 am at Wilson Funeral Home in Panama City, Florida with nephew, Joseph Greer Jr officiating.  Those desiring to make a memorial contribution are asked to donate to the charity of their choice or a conservation effort that benefits the natural environment.
