Phyllis Laird Chaffin, 89, of Panama City, FL passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021. She was born on December 15, 1931, in Panama City to Roy D. and Bessie Laird. She graduated from Bay High School and received her BA from Judson College.

Phyllis had a generous heart and the passionate soul of an artist. She won many awards in juried shows and her paintings are hung in private and corporate collections in the United States and Europe.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Robert Chaffin. She is survived by her daughter, Sharrie Mack and her grandson, Brandan Mack. Per her request, a private service was held in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens with Rev. Craig Brannon officiating.
