Phillip Hesser Morgan
Phillip Hesser Morgan, of Callaway, passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2010. He was born June 23, 1949 in Plainfield, New Jersey. He was a retired Captain with 25 years of service in the United States Air Force, and later became a Registered Nurse, where he touched and brightened the lives of many. He enjoyed the outdoors, and had an immense passion for windsurfing. His sense of humor and creative spirit will be missed by all, especially his wife of 37 years, Shu Morgan; 3 children, Jennifer Morgan Byrd and husband, Paul; Christopher Morgan and wife, Irene; Jessica Morgan Mercer and husband, Christopher; 3 grandchildren, Helon, Phillip, and Benjamin; 4 sisters, Anne Coffey, Joan Sladek, Denise Hilzer, Cynthia Camlet; 2 brothers, Ted Morgan, Ken Morgan; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday May 7, at 10 a.m. in the St. Dominic Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. Thursday May 6, with a rosary service to be held at 7 p.m.
Donations in his name can be made to the American Red Cross Central Panhandle Chapter or Catholic Charities of Northwest Florida.
