PHILLIP "PHIL" DOWLING HUTCHISON SR.

Phillip "Phil" Dowling Hutchison Sr., 86, of Panama City, died Monday, August 18, 2008. He retired as the co-owner and secretary/treasurer of Panama Motor Parts and Marine. He was a past treasurer of the Boys Club. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, where he was a past Board member serving as treasurer. He was a member of the Rotary Club, where he served as a board member and also a Paul Harris Fellow. He was a member of the Panama City Kiwanis Club. He also served as treasurer of the St. Andrews Bay Yacht Club. He moved to Panama City in 1948 from Dothan, Alabama. He moved to Marianna, Florida in 1981 and lived there until 2002, when he moved back to Panama City. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen "Tiny" Hutchison in 1979, second wife, Jay Lee McCaskill of Marianna in 2008, and brother, Dan Hutchison. He is survived by his son, Phillip Dowling Hutchison Jr. and wife, Deniece; his daughter, Karen Hutchison Mullins and husband, Steve, all of Panama City. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Warren officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
