Phillip Blaine Hunt, 81, of Panama City Beach, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 in his home. He was born December 25, 1932 in Charleston, West Virginia. He retired from the United States Air Force after 22 years at the rank of Master Sergeant. He did three tours of duty in VietNam and fought in the Korean War, where he received a silver star. He was a member of the St. Bernadette Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and a lifetime member of the VFW. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Elizabeth Brown. He is survived by his wife, Jean Hunt; six children, Terry Evans (Bob), Tom Hunt, Tim Hunt (Lisa), Tammy Melnar (Les), Todd Hunt (Tracey), Jon Phillips (Renee); grandchildren, Chris Hunt, Eric Hunt (Katie), Corey Hunt, Alyssa Hunt, Davey Hunt, Jonathon Hunt, Chad Marbut (Lisa), Nathan Marbut (Sierra), Chelsea Waller (Bryan), Jacob Phillips (Christian), Michael Pauley; great grandchildren, Brynley Hunt, Calissa Marbut, Kyleigh Marbut, Carter Marbut, Lola Marbut, Isaiah Phillips. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the St. Bernadette Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Bernadette Catholic Church or to the VFW Post 10555.
