In loving memory of Philip Wesley Fowhand, Sr., who passed away on September 9th 2022, age 85. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Philip, born to Ellis Fowhand & Phoebe Masker Fowhand on February 24, 1937 in Panama City, Florida. After graduating from Bay High School in 1955, he went on to study Business at University of Florida. Early in life, Philip learned the importance of hard work from his father, Ellis Fowhand. After graduation, he enjoyed many years in his family business, Fowhand Furniture.

His Faith, Family and Business meant so much to him. He loved his work family.

Philip was a passionate Gator Fan! He enjoyed many wonderful times going to games at the University of Florida with family. Philip loved the music of  Elvis Presley, along with water skiing, walking trails in The Great Smoky Mountains, and golf. He was a member of Forest Park United Methodist Church, where Philip enjoyed many events with his loving church family.

Philip was predeceased by his parents, Ellis and Phoebe Fowhand.

He is survived by his Brother, Clark E. Fowhand, Sr. , Daughter, Lisa Fowhand Johnson, & Son-in-law James W. Johnson, Jr., Son, Philip W. Fowhand, Jr., Grandson, Dr. Wesley Johnson (Nicole), Many wonderful cousins and Special Grandson, James Brumby, Jr.

A private graveside service was held on Tuesday, September 13th 2022 with Dr. John Friedman officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Building Fund at Forest Park United Methodist Church, 1401 W. 23rd St. Panama City, Florida 32405.
