A Wee bit of Scotland has left Panama City, but not our hearts!
Peter Burt, 74 of Panama City, died Wednesday, December 23, 2009. He was born to the late Peter and Joan Burt, January 25, 1935, in Glasgow, Scotland. He married Lena Burt in 1958 and in 1964 they immigrated to Panama City. He retired from Tractor and Equipment after 25 years in 1998. He then worked for Royal American for the next 11 years.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lena Burt, his daughters, Pauline Burt and Pamela Chapman. Son-in-laws Keith Burt and Joey Chapman; his grandchildren Joseph Chapman, Peter Nathan Chapman, Elizabeth Chapman, and Chandler Burt.
A memorial service will be held Sunday December 27, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. A celebration of his life will take place at the home of Joey and Pamela Chapman immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Rescue Mission.
