Perry Wayne Hutchison
Perry, a long time resident of Panama City, was born March 17, 1920 in Chipley, FL. He was the last of four children to Perry Aubra Hutchison and Jennie Harrell Hutchison, both West Florida natives. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jetta. He is survived by his son, Perry Ralph Hutchison of El Paso, TX, daughter, Evelyn Hutchison White of Ft. Myers, FL and one grandson, Perry Aaron Hutchison of Katy, TX. Perry passed away Thursday, January 22, 2009 at Glen Cove Retirement Pavilion. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 28 at Glenwood Cemetery in Chipley, FL. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5 – 7 p.m.
Perry operated Perry's Key Shop on the 2100 block of East 8th Street, for many years. He was a veteran of WWII, where he served in the Merchant Marines along the North Sea corridor as a gunnery officer, and in South American ports worked in ship navigation and as the translator. He spoke Portuguese and had a beautiful singing voice. He will be missed by his friends he leaves behind.
