Peggy Adams Slappy, 74, of Panama City Beach, FL passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2019. She was born in Edison, GA to the late Dubert and Beulah Adams. She enjoyed serving in St. Andrew Baptist Church and Chapel class, traveling and spending time with family, especially her only granddaughter, Marli. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Patricia "Patsy" Adams Tyson. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Brian D. Slappy; her daughters, Lisa Slappy of Crestview, FL, Angela Land; granddaughter, Marlaina "Marli" Land of Panama City Beach; sister, Mary Jackson (Bobby) of Leary, GA; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held at Wilson Funeral Home on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at 11 am with Dr. Michael Claunch officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday at the funeral home from 10-11 am prior to the service. Lunch will be served at St. Andrew Baptist Church following the service. Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 28, 2019 at 10 am EDT at the Salem Baptist Cemetery in Edison, GA. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the St. Andrew Baptist Church Building Fund, 3010 W. 15 Street, Panama City, FL 32401, in memory of Peggy Slappy.
