PEGGY COPELAND ELLIOT

Peggy Copeland Elliot, 79, of Panama City, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2009. She was born January 8, 1930 in LaGrange, Georgia. In 1959, she and her husband opened the first Volkswagen dealership in Panama City. She also worked for the Port Authority. She was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church and a charter member of the DOES, Chapter 138 BPOE. In her spare time, she loved to do needlework. She was preceded in death by her husband, John P. Elliot. She is survived by two brothers, Joe A. Copeland and wife, Marion, of Panama City Beach, Wayne Copeland and wife, Carolyn, of LaGrange, GA; two nephews; three nieces and her special friend, Laura Johnson, of Panama City. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at the Messiah Lutheran Church with Rev. Roy Stackpole officiating. Interment will be held at a later date in Atlanta, Georgia.
