PAUL S. (STAN) WHITTLE, JR.
Stan Whittle, 64, of Panama City, FL, formally of Birmingham, AL, born Oct. 3, 1943, to the late Paul and Vernona Whittle, went to be with Lord on Sunday morning, Dec. 2, 2007.
Stan was founder and co-owner of Mid-West Utility Equipment Co in Panama City. It was there on Feb. 22, 1988, while demonstrating a bucket truck to a client, that he was severely injured in an industrial accident. He sustained a severe brain injury and was given very little hope to live, but God wasn't quite ready for him. During the years since, he has fought a brave fight, never giving up, serving as Deacon for St. Andrew Baptist Church, faithfully serving his Chapel S.S. class there and being an avid supporter for the Benevolence Center there. Saturday mornings you would always find Stan on his scooter searching the yard sales in the Cove for items for the Benevolence Center. He never lost his sense of humor, his deep love for his family and friends, and most of all his deep and abiding faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
