Paul Robert Santos

Paul Robert Santos, 71, of Panama City, died Friday, April 16, 2010. He was born October 16, 1938 in Taunton, Massachusetts. He served in the United States Marine Corp for 30 years retiring in 1977 at the rank of Master Sergeant. He served as Director of the American Red Cross for 12 years in Ocala, Florida, where they serviced five different counties. He was a member of the Panama City Elks Club 1598, where he was a past exalted ruler. He was also a member of the Panhandle Research and Recovery and the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors, Inc. In Panama City, he owned and operated an antique clock and watch restoration business. He served as past president of the Panama City Metal Detectors Club and the Ocala-Fort King Lions Club. He was a faithful member of Grace Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by two stepdaughters, Carol Winstanley and Heather Winstanley Dvonch. He is survived by his wife, Fran McArthur Santos, 3 children, Paul Robert Santos Jr., Janine Marie Chennault, Christopher George Santos, stepson, Shaun Kenneth Winstanley, 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 4 p.m. in the Grace Presbyterian Church with Rev. Tully Hunter officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday at 1:15 p.m. in the Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, FL.
