Paul Earl Harris, 84, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2019. He was born on November 20, 1934 in Birmingham, AL. He moved to Panama City after he served in the United States Navy and went to work for Woolworths. He eventually became manager of Woolworth's in Tennessee. He returned to Panama City to work for W.T. Grant Department Store. He was a former realtor with Century 21 Real Estate and then went into the insurance business opening Paul Harris Insurance Agency. Paul was a member of the Sapp Church in Cottondale and was a former member of the Grace Presbyterian Church in Panama City. He was a former member of the Kiwanis Club in Panama City where he was a Past President. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vanera Harris; his parents, Houston & Sara Harris and one sister, Norma Daniels. He is survived by his wife, Faithe Davis Harris; son, Dennis Harris; daughter, Cindy Poppelreiter (Lewis); brother, Larry Harris (Ann); five grandchildren, Jennifer Lively, Bryan Harris, Connie Harris, Shelley Oaks, Derick Poppelreiter; three stepchildren, Tim Sapp (Patsy), Sandra Ward (Jeff), Mary Kelly (Allen); nine step-grandchildren, Michelle Ratcliff (Cary), Carissa Bell (Mark), Caleb Sapp, Jessica Ward, Kimberly O'Mera (John), Lindsay Guyer (Patrick), Joshua Kelly, Clint Kelly (Ashlee), Austin Kelly and numerous great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Lewis officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to Covenant Hospice, 107 W. 19th St., Panama City, FL 32405 in memory of Paul Harris.
