Patsy Ann Duran, 77, of Panama City Beach, FL passed away on Thursday February 15, 2018. She was born on July 8, 1940 in Elkton, KY to William Tomie Harrison and Mae Maxine Willis. She spent most of her life in Las Cruces, New Mexico deeply involved in bettering the community. She enjoyed her last 8 years in Panama City Beach painting, playing bridge and spoiling the grandkids (after starting a library foundation of course). She was a member of the St. Bernadette Catholic Church. She created the Panama City Beach Library Foundation, headed the Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico and was the CEO of the Memorial Medical Center Foundation in Las Cruces, New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Juan Duran; one son, Craig Duran (Christy); two grandchildren, Ava Jane Duran, Roman Juan Duran; one brother, Bill Rutledge (Mary Lou); niece, Lori Rutledge; nephew, Jeff Rutledge; three brothers-in-law, Estevan Duran (Gloria), Luis Duran (Sylvia), Martin Duran, one sister-in-law, Mercy Herrera (Larry). Funeral services will be held on Monday at 2 pm in the St. Bernadette Catholic Church. The family will receive friends at the church from 1-2 pm on Monday. Graveside services will be held in the Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, FL at 10 am on Tuesday February 20, 2018. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Panama City Beach Library Foundation, 12500 Hutchison Boulevard, Panama City Beach, FL 32407 or beachlibrary.org in memory of Patsy Duran.
