Obituary

Patricia Ann (McKenzie) Robinson born January 29, 1944 passed from this world on August 15, 2021.

She was born at Lisenby Hospital,  attended Panama Grammer, Bay High  School, and Gulf Coast Community College. She helped make The Breakers a place to go in the70's, built an International business, Annie Designs, and ultimately learned to be content with a simple life.

She was smart, creative, strong in her convictions, fiercely loyal, hard working, loved puzzles, games-especially word games, online slot machines and the Island View Casino. She loved Survivor and watched all 40 seasons more than once.  She was an incredible artist who could work with nearly any media. She made the most beautiful wood burned and carved gourds, painted, needlework, polymer clay, stained glass, and fused glass. She even made beautiful frames from aluminum foil or melted crayon. We all looked forward to the personal gifts she made us every year.

She is preceded in death by her beloved grandmother Wilma Boney Robinson "Othermama", father Harrison Poole McKenzie, her mother Vera (Robinson) Farmer, Stepfather Edgar W. Farmer Senior, sisters Judy McKenzie and Harriet (McKenzie) Bradshaw,  beloved partner of 17 years Jim Backmann, special Aunts Uncles and cousins: Bobbie Robinson Higginbotham Evans, Ron Higginbotham, James Robinson, Ray Robinson, Laura "Tootsie" (Robinson) and Thomas Bambarger, Mary (Robinson) Walker, Ray and Philip Robinson. She is survived by her Aunts Jimmie Robinson, Dot Robinson, cousins Dorothy and Mickey Herndon, Jim "Son" and Valerie Robinson, Linda (Robinson) Underwood, Nancy (Robinson) Oliver, Laura (Bambarger) and Charlie Payne, Rita (Bambarger) and Mike Rhodes, David Higgenbotham and so many cousins and second cousins that she loved dearly. She is survived by her son Joe Tyson, daughters Tracey Tyson Pantone, and Terri Bishop, grandchildren, Laura Tyson, Brad Tyson, Kelli Martin, Taylor, Jacklyn and Jenna Janowiak, and Justin Pantone. Great grandchildren Summer Adair, Colton Richbourg, and Parker Watson.  Dear friends Ellen Thomas, Terry Cotter, Tanya Ricardo Romero, and Andrea Jean Davis Kinesius. Pat was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and a loyal friend whom will be dearly missed.

Unfortunately after this obituary was written, Pat's daughter, Tracey Tyson Pantone, passed away on August 27, 2021.

A celebration of life will be held at Captain Jack's Family Buffet on Thomas Drive on October 16th from 12 to 2 pm.

In lieu of flowers the next time you are on the beach or in the woods clean up something someone else left behind. She loved nature and every time we went to the beach or snorkeling she would bring something back to help clean and protect our beaches.
