Parrish Lee Strickland passed from this life to his heavenly home on October 28th ,2015 surrounded by his family at the age of 45. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Loyce and Evelyn Strickland and Adolph and Lillie Bedsole; aunt and uncle, Norma Jean and Brian Reaves; uncle, Richard Allen Strickland; cousin Lyn Phillips Culbreth; aunt Lydia Joy Hughes. He is survived by his wife Kathy Durbin Strickland of Wetumpka, Alabama; daughter Gracie Lark Strickland of Monticello, Alabama; two sons Owen Lee Strickland and Collin Frederick Jones of Wetumpka, Alabama; Parents Wanda and Jerry Strickland of Panama City, Florida; sister Marlean Klaymeier Strickland of Panama City; nephews, Devin Klaymeier and Nathan Klaymeier of San Antonio, Texas; brother Guy Strickland and wife Christina; niece, Summerlyn; nephew Taylor; great niece Lylamarie all of Panama City. Parrish attended the University of West Florida and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Environmental Planning and a Juris Doctorate degree from Jones School of Law at Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama. During his years of living in the Montgomery area, he was employed by Barge Waggoner, Sumner and Cannon, Goodwyn Mills and Caywood, Haworth, Meyer and Boleyn and Arcadis Environmental Consultant Firms. Parrish enjoyed life and laughter and will be greatly missed. The family gives special thanks to the doctors of UAB and their faithfulness in treating Parrish for the past three months, also to Community Hospice of Tallassee, Alabama and Emerald Coast Hospice in Panama City. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. at Hiland Park Baptist Church with Pastor Marty Martin, Pastor Guy Strickland and Dr. Steven Kyle officiating. The family will receive visitors from 1-2:30 prior to the service. Interment will follow at Bayou George Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Michael Cline, Charles Wright, Bo Sawyer, Kenneth Wiggins, Chris Lee, Doug Lee and Roy Lilja. Those desiring may make memorial donations to Emerald Coast Hospice, 421 W.
