Obituary

OTTO STONE SPEER

Otto Stone Speer, 95, passed away on January 25, 2010. He was born in the hill country of the Sand Mountain region of Northern Alabama on November 12, 1914. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, retiring in 1959, and he saw action in both World War II and the Korean Conflict. He and his family moved to Panama City in 1959 where he worked for Sears and retired from employment after 20 years. He was known to all who knew him as a good man. He was a man of simple tastes who provided for the welfare of his family through personal sacrifice and strong moral character. Like all his family, he was a man of strong opinions. He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Willie Mae (Worthington) Speer. He is survived by his son, Ronald Speer.
