OSIE MAE GRANT
Osie Mae Grant, 97, of Panama City, died Monday, July 16, 2007. She was born December 29, 1909 in Ponce de Leon, FL to Hiram George Washington Floyd and Mollie Thompson Floyd. She had been a resident of Bay County for 70 years. She was the retired food service manager for Millville Elementary. She also ran the concession stand at Gulf Drive-in. She was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by husbands, Glen Douglas Grant, and Alton E. Shipes. She is survived by 2 sons, John H. Grant and wife, Joyce; Charles E. (Pete) Grant and wife, Barbara; 2 daughters, Dorothy P. Cummings and husband, John; Peggy S. Phillips and husband, Roger; 8 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 11 great great grandchildren, brother, Willie Floyd and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eddie & Barbara Nichols. Interment will follow in the Millville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.
