Olga Watkins Vann went home to be with the Lord February 9, 2017. She was born November 9, 1927 in Bay County. Olga was of Pentecostal faith at Oasis Worship Center on Panama City Beach. She loved to visit nursing homes and Council on Aging, to sing gospel songs. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mrs. Loren (Broxson) Watkins; father, James Ezra (Cotton) Watkins; her husband, Shelby Lamar Vann. She is survived by Shirley Fay (Vann) King, Mark Thomas Vann, Norma Jean (Vann) James, her close friend and care giver, Mrs. Carolyn Hatcher, sisters Hazel L. Mordellet, Lenora Tew, Kate Kennedy, Jean Schillinger, Bertha Garcia, Jeanette Lassiter, James Owen Watkins, Inez Strickland, Patsy E. Muzidal. Funeral services will be at Wilson Funeral Home on Tuesday February 14, 2017 at 11 am with Rev. James O. Watkins and Rev. Leon Jenkins officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10-11 am prior to the service. Graveside services will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday in the West Bay Cemetery.
