Scott Fitzgerald, 52, Passed away on October 1st, 2021 in the home that he shared with the love of his life Shasta Branson. He was born on October 24th, 1968 to loving parents Tharine (Melching) Fitzgerald and Norman P. Fitzgerald Jr..
Scott was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. When Scott wasn't spending time with his family he loved to be in the outdoors, he enjoyed fishing, as well as Elk and Mule deer hunting in Wyoming. Scott relocated to Panama City Beach, Florida, in 2001 in order to fulfill a lifelong dream of being a saltwater fishing guide. Captain Scott's commitment to sharing his love of fishing with his family, clients and the other Captains as well as his love for the environment will be missed greatly.
Scott was preceeded in death by Tharine Melching Fitzgerald (Mother) and Norman P. Fitzgerald Jr. (Dad). He is survived by the love of his life Shasta Branson, his children Bradley Fitzgerald, Ashley (Fitzgerald) Knell, Samantha (Fitzgerald) Scholes and his bonus son Rylan Hathaway, his 5 grandchildren and 9 siblings. Scotts dream of sharing his love for fishing will live on in the hearts of many Captains in the Bay Area as well as the clients that had the pleasure of working closely with him.
We will have a celebration of life on Sunday, October 10th at 3:00 PM. The celebration will be held at sea and on facebook live for anyone that is unable to attend.
