Obituary

Norma Rita Adamson of Panama City Beach, entered into rest on March 26, 2020. She was born on May 28, 1920 and was a native of Rochester, N.Y. She and her family moved to Florida from Los Angeles, CA in 1967.
Ms. Adamson was a graduate of West High School and Rochester Business Institute in Rochester, New York. She retired from Tyndall Air Force Base in 1973, having worked for the Federal Government since 1953 as an executive secretary.
Ms. Adamson entered the U.S. Navy during WWII where she served 2 ½ years as Petty Officer 2nd Class. Her tours included New York City, Washington, D.C., and Pearl Harbor, Hawaii after which she was discharged in San Francisco, CA in 1947.
Ms. Adamson volunteered her services at Bay Medical Center, Panama City, from 1974 through 1985. She was a member of the Ladies Group of St. Bernadette's Church and served as president of that group in 1976. She served as a official member of the Deanery for Catholic Women of NW, FL and Eucharistic Minister for both St. Bernadette's Church and St. John's Church, taking the Holy Eucharist to the sick and shut-ins. She was also a member of the Women's Republican Club of Panama City, Red Hat Society, bridge group and enjoyed playing golf for many years.
Ms. Adamson was preceded in death by her husband, Montague (Bud) Adamson; her parents, Anthony and (stepmother, Mary), mother, Rose Danelli; three brothers, Thomas and Donald, who served their country during WWII, another brother, Anthony (Sonny) died accidentally at the age of 19; and a granddaughter, Theresa "Terri" Miller.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara Jean and Mark Snider of Birmingham, AL; granddaughter, Tiffany Leah Aden of Shalimar, FL; 5 great granddaughters, Avery Aden, Ansley Aden, Kylie Miller, Aspen Miller, Brinley Miller; sister, Christine Curtis and several nieces and nephews.
A family funeral service will be held on Thursday in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association in memory of Norma Adamson.
