Noble Wayne Mathews born in Kentucky on November 15, 1936, and went to be with the Lord, at the age of 86, on July 8, 2023, in Panama City, Florida.
Wayne married his wife, Carole, on Valentine's Day, February 14, 1961. She lovingly cared for him in their home for four years before his passing. Wayne passed peacefully at Sims Veterans Home in his wife's arms and his daughters by his side.
Wayne was a father to two daughters: Julia Stewart (Tommy) and Lea Hill (Bill). Papaw to seven grandchildren: Mark Bosler, Mathew Bosler (Brooke), Luke Bosler (Corrine) John Bosler, Anna Cullars (Joseph), Evan McDonald, and Ryan McDonald and six great grandchildren.
He served in the U. S. Navy as EM 2nd Class Petty Officer. He was an Electrician at ALCOA in Newburgh IN for 20 years. He retired and moved to Panama City. He was as old school as they come, master gardener and could fix absolutely anything. His love for fishing, hunting, reading, history, and the Lord, he passed on to his children, grandchildren and countless others that will transcend generations.
We love and miss you Pap. We know that you are walking a long pier in Heaven with a fishing rod in hand and a smile on your face.
There will not be a service held. Please feel free to stop by their home and share a memory with Meme.
