NELL BROOKS HARMON

Nell Brooks Harmon, 92, of Panama City, passed away Friday, October 1, 2010. She was born June 4, 1918 in Vernon, Florida. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Joyful Servants Sunday School Class. Mrs. Harmon was also a member of the Bay County Food Service Association, Beta Sigma Phi and a lifetime member of Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dempsey Alexander Harmon. She is survived by four daughters, Marion McCormick (George), Mary O'Connor, Barbara Strausbaugh (Bob), all of Panama City, Debby Martino, of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Scott McCormick (Terri), DeeDee Adams (Mike), Daphne Ward (Kenny), LeAnn McFatter (Mike), Troy Strausbaugh (Denise), Christy Rieke (Tom), Dan Martino; great grandchildren, J. Michael Pennington, Chassity Pennington, Dallas Adams, Casey Adams, Lyndsey McFatter, Aaron McFatter, Logan Strausbaugh, Kyleigh Sanders, Ashley Kent (Bret), Lindsey Horn; Carey Horn and great great grandchild, Riley Kent. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clyde Ellison officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6 – 8 p.m. Those desiring may make memorial donations to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in memory of Nell Harmon.
