Nathaniel Jacob "Jake" Barnard, age 28, of Panama City, Florida, left this world for his eternal home on Sunday, November 19th, 2023. Jake was born June 28, 1995 at Tyndall Air Force Base.  He spent most of his life in Bay County but during his Dad's active military assignments also lived in Alaska and Texas.  He was a 2013 graduate of Mosley High School and attended Gulf Coast State College. Jake was a creative, compassionate, and giving young man who strived to model his life after the very source of all life, Jesus.  Jake loved music and serving others. He shared his talents by playing worship music for his church and working at the Center of Hope to give out food. He also served on several mission trips across North America. He was an encouragement to all that met him. Jake was a painter and often worked as a repairman to help others make their homes and lives better.  He recently found a passion for riding motorcycles and enjoyed the freedom of the open road. He quickly found a way to use this new found passion to share his love for God with others.  He had a heart for those who found themselves in need and lived his life with open hands by sharing what he had.

Jake is survived by his loving parents Timothy and Kim Barnard, brother Joshua and sister-in-law Erica, brother Zachary, niece Amelia and nephew Josiah. He is also survived by his grandmother Cindy Gilmore, aunt and uncle Jill and Scott Loyd, and his uncles Tommy and James David Barnard. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Thomas and Wanda Barnard and Eddie Gilmore of Arkansas.  A Celebration of Life service will be held Thursday, November 30, 2023 at 3:00 pm in the St. Andrew Baptist Church.  If you would like to visit the family, visitation will begin at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St Andrew Christian Care Center( Center of Hope).
