NADINE McCRACKEN THOMPSON
Nadine McCracken Thompson, 92, of Panama City, died Wednesday, January 25, 2012 in Westminster Palms, St. Petersburg, FL. She was born in Meigs, Georgia and later moved to Tallahassee. She graduated from Leon County High School and the University of Alabama. She married Earle R. Thompson, Jr in 1943 and they moved to Panama City. She was a homemaker until her son graduated from high school, then worked as a bookkeeper in her husband's office. Mrs. Thompson was active in the First Baptist Church and was a member of the St. Andrew Bay Chapter of the DAR and the Junior Service League. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earle Raymond Thompson, Jr. She is survived by her son, David Earle and daughter-in-law, Patricia Thompson of St Petersburg, Fl. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 – 1:30 p.m. prior to the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Gulf Coast College Foundation or to Hospice in memory of Nadine Thompson.
