MYRTLE MARIE SOWELL
Myrtle Marie Sowell, 96, of Panama City, passed away August 14, 2011 in a local nursing home. She was born August 6, 1915 to Burris Sapp and Emma Rudd Sapp. She had been a resident of Bay County most of her life, moving here from Washington County, Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Sowell and daughter, Lynda Sowell. She is survived by her caregivers, Calvin and Mamie Sapp, special friend, Mary Ellis and numerous other relatives. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Stephens and Rev. Donnie Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m., one hour prior to service time. The family would like to thank the staff of the Sterling House, Bay Center and Dr. Chris Rittman.
