MYRTLE (MIMI) FOURAKER

Myrtle "Mimi" Fouraker, 88, of Lynn Haven, died Sunday, October 22, 2006. She was born January 7, 1918 in Headland, Alabama and had been a resident here since 1931. She was a 1938 graduate of Bay High School. She was a medical assistant and office manager for Dr. J.J. Hollomon, having retired after 32 years of service. She was a charter member of the Bay County Medical Assistant Association, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Panama City and the LLL Sunday School class. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed reading, gardening, crocheting and playing the organ. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Carden. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Alvin B. Fouraker of Lynn Haven; a daughter, April "Pril" Bland of Panama City; 3 granddaughters, Leigh Crouch of Newnan, GA, April Mercer and husband, Mike; Sarah Steverson and husband, Jason, all of Lynn Haven; grandson, Blair Fackler and wife, Suzanne of Camilla, GA; 2 sisters, Effie Daffin, Madie Lindsey, both of Panama City; 8 great grandchildren, Brooke, Chase, & Griffin Mercer, Julia & Ben Crouch, Jimmy Fackler, and Abby & Mallory Steverson. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clyde Ellison officiating. Private family graveside services will be in the Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.
