Almighty God healed Myrtis Clark Fortner of Lynn Haven Florida on October 4, 2015 from a prolonged illness with leukemia and took her into eternal rest. She and her twin brother were born on November 2, 1932 to Thomas B. and Susie Bell Clark. She was in restaurant management for many years until dedicating her future into being a wonderfully loving and supportive wife and homemaker as she accompanied her military husband to many locations throughout the nation and overseas. She had a passion for caring for her family. She also greatly enjoyed fishing, being a great friend and confidant, golf, gardening, the beach and travel. She was an extremely competent entertainer and cook. She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church. She had lived in Bay County since 1991. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, James Clark (Dora); and sister, Martha Smith. She is survived by her husband, John M. Fortner; 2 daughters, Patricia Diane Thibodeau (Pete) and Madonna Anne Fortner (Frank); four grandchildren, Jason Thibodeau (Leslie), Brandon Wonsch, Nathan Thibodeau (Kimberly), Christopher Wonsch; twin brother, Curtis Clark (Margita); brother-in-law, Ondry Smith; and numerous loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. CST in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Gary Cecil officiating. Interment will be on Friday at 3 p.m. EST in Roseland Cemetery in Monticello, Florida. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. She loved flowers, but those desiring to may make a donation to Grace Presbyterian Church, 1415 Airport Road, Panama City, Florida 32405 in memory of Myrtis Clark Fortner.
