Myrna Sue Sims, 65, of Lynn Haven, FL, passed peacefully on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 while holding both of her daughters' hands following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on November 22, 1957 in Limestone, ME to Alios and Waneta Balcerzak. Myrna enjoyed shopping, gardening, cooking, helping others and spending time with friends and family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Roger Sims, dad, Harry Metivier, mother, Waneta Metivier and biological father, Al Balcerzak. She will remain in the hearts of her children, Bryan Bennett of Newman, GA, Carrie Turner (Robert) of Lynn Haven, FL, and Amanda Roberts (Ryan) of Lynn Haven, FL; grandchildren, Ryan, Ashley, Blake and Chasity Bennett, Haley Kinney and Grayson Turner; sisters, Lillian Templeman and Lisa Robinson. She will also be remembered by many dear friends including Pam Mott who selflessly provided unconditional friendship. Myrna will be deeply missed by her beloved dog and companion, Roxie. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 11 AM at the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jack Hankins officiating. Interment will follow at the Mount Hope Cemetery in Lynn Haven, FL. The family will receive friends at Wilson Funeral Home on Monday, March 13 ^th from 5 PM to 7 PM. Following interment, friends are invited to join the family at the home of Amanda Roberts.
